![]() ![]() Some bartering still exists within the market, but CS:GO trading is now more about making profit than about buying skins to play the game with. The price can range from a few dollars to dozens. For these, negotiation is very rare, as sellers can easily get the “proper” number of keys from most buyers, and buyers can find the skin at the “correct” price from most sellers. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) was released in the August of 2012, and immediately met resistance and concerns. Restricted skins are usually seen as the sweet spot for both CSGO skins trading and investing. Some skins are considered “liquid” items and have a widely accepted price. Each crate contains a predetermined set of available weapons, and each weapon has a certain probability to be unboxed. The keys can also be traded to other players. Skins can be obtained from opening crates – the crates are free, but opening them requires a “key.” Keys can be purchased through the game for $2.50, and either used immediately or held on for later use. Players of the game can trade with each other to exchange these skins. These skins change the cosmetic appearance of weapons with colors and designs, but do not affect the gameplay in any way. Shortly after the game was released, weapon “skins” were added.
